11. Rockledge Golf Club
Rockledge Golf Club been voted Hartford Magazine’s “Best Public Golf Course” and one of New England’s “Best Places to Play.” The grounds on this 18 hole public championship course are amazing and well maintained. There is nothing like watching the sunset while enjoying a meal from the deck of the restaurant. Known for its beautiful landscaping and meticulous maintenance, Rockledge features a championship layout. The community enjoys winter fun here sledding, snowshoeing and x-country skiing. 12. Halloween Parade, Memorial Day Parade, Park Road Parade
The Halloween Parade features live music, games, pumpkin carving and kids dressed in Halloween costumes. The stroll extends from West Hartford Center to Blue Back Square where kids treat-or treat at participating merchants.

Over 7,000 spectators will lined the streets to view 90 groups march in the parade. This very popular and proud group of West Hartford Residents celebrate their town. Among the marches will be dancers, bands, clowns, floats, pets, antique cars, color guards, businesses, town officials, and cultural organizations. Lots of great energy in the air and community pride!

The Memorial Day Parade in West Hartford honors the veterans from World War I in the 1920s. The parade welcomes all groups to march. The local Brownies, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League teams, Soccer Teams, Conard & Hall High School Marching Bands, local officials, King Phillip & Sedgwick Middle Schools and more march in the procession.

West Hartford Center Sidewalk Festival is festive 3 day sidewalk sale The Center and Blue Back Square. This event includes music, face painting, and food tents. Come meet your neighbors and boast about your great bargains!
14. Celebrate West Hartford
Celebrate West Hartford is a 2 day annual event in June. This event features entertainment, top notch juried art and crafts show, amazing food, carnival rides, and a certified 5K road race. Area businesses and charitable organizations have booths to promote public awareness. It is an event the most residence attend and look forward to each year in June and takes place on the grounds of West Hartford Town Hall. There is no admission charge for the event and many of the activities are free.
Entertainment on Saturday includes performances by numerous local school jazz ensembles. Professional bands perform on Sunday afternoon. Celebrate West Hartford garnered awards in the Best Local Annual Event category by Hartford Magazine for several years in a row.

Noah Webster House is a national registered historic landmark. This museum has youth programs and theatrical productions. Although Noah Webster has impacted our culture in many ways he is best known for writing Noah Webster 1828 two-volume dictionary.
