Landscape Design Part 2 – Side Yard & Stone Steps – Before and After

Landscape Design Part 2 Stone Steps Realtor Real Estate

Thinking of buying a new home, investment property or perhaps a foreclosure but the landscape projects seem to be daunting? Are you worried you won’t get any return on your investment? With a little vision and some sweat equity you can turn a property into a paradise increasing the value and making it more appealing for resale. See how!

This is the side yard that needed to be cleared to install the stone steps, stone wall, and Gardens.

The house was surrounded with 43 yews that where 8 feet+ tall with tap roots that run very deep.

The slope was covered in weeds, poor soil with large stones, grape vines, bittersweet vines, and invasive multiflora roses.

The removal of the yews was a massive undertaking with loppers, chain saws, wood chipper and bobcat to dig out the roots.

After digging out the rocks, 24 yards of soil and mulch where brought in for garden preparation.

When planting gardens soil is the most important part of the process.

These are the stone steps and stone retaining wall that surround the garden.

Newly installed perennial beds.
